Parc de la Ciutadella

You do not have any chance of not liking or enjoying Parc de la Ciutadella at the first step in. Statues, rich and exotic vegetation (palms, trees with thick trunk and a lot of other unidentified plants), a lot of green. It gets your attention the fountain which illustrates the fable of the fox and the stork.

Also the Arc de Triomphe is here, look very beautiful and quite different of the others from Bucharest or Paris.

You would love the parrots. While researching another article, I found out that some species (monk parakeet, for exemple) are not specific to the area and ” were released intentionally to add color to the Park”. Because of color, sometimes is hare to noticed them in the palms. Eventually, they will stay on the grass and would smile at your camera.
The lake has a lot of vegetation and a little island in the middle and for sure you are going to be impressed. The fountain is also amazing some of the elements that make it unique are the ornamental statues, the small caves and El Carro de l’Aurora.

One of the attractions that you cannot miss is the huge mammoth, whose trunk is very populat among children who are standing in line for taking a picture on it.

As a conclusion, Parc de la Citadella has everything that a great spending time place needs: rich in vegetation, lot of species of birds, the lake, the fountain and a playgroung for children. Also, in the park another place which worths visiting is the zoo, you cannot miss the dolphins show.
