Five amazing events of Barcelona in the upcoming week

Barcelona, or as widely known, Barca, is absolutely one the most amazing cities in this planet. Now that summer is here, thousands of interesting events are happening everyday all around the city. Here we would like to recommend some events during the next week—Remember, no matter what kind of tastes do the visitors have, Barca can always satisfy them.



The Suitcase Brothers featuring Blas Picón-Blues

Take two spoonfuls of boogie-woogie, three of shuffle, one of calypso and add a few drops of slow blues. Stir in a repertoire of original songs. What do you get? The Suitcase Brothers Band. Whether you like the blues or not, this band is certain to grab your attention…

The Cult concert Barcelona

British rock band from the 80’ies and still rocking after a couple of reunions and nine albums. Biggest hits including songs “She Sells Sanctuary” and “Fire Woman” among others. The latest Cult album is “Choice of Weapon released in May 2012 and followed up with a European tour. See them live in Barcelona in July 2012

Dan Posen Trio and Laia Porta

This is a band whose sound evokes the golden age of jazz. In it, the elegant voice of Laia Port, rich in colour and timbre and accompanied by, unusually, a drumless rhythm section, creates an intimate atmosphere, full of swing, led by the unmistakable trumpet playing style of Canadian musician Dan Posen.

A young film projectionist who yearns to become a famous detective falls asleep on the job. Suddenly, he finds himself pitched right into the film, where he will have to save his beloved from danger.



Monegros Desert Festival 2012

Event location:  Desierto de los Monegros – Fraga – 2 hours from Barcelona

18th edition of Monegros Desert Festival near Barcelona-Spain’s biggest electronic music festival

The festival began as a meeting of club patrons Florida 135 , was held for the first time in 1994 and today has become one of the most important events of the European electronic culture. With an average attendance in the last editions of 40,000, is an event that affects the entire area, as cities such as Lleida ,Zaragoza and Huesca and populations around the farm the festival, are greatly benefited their hotel on festival.

Organized by producer Enter Group, based in Barcelona , Arnau family property, the festival focuses on providing artists of electronic music who succeed in the world and artists of hip-hop and rap internationally.



The tour of 50 years of The Beach Boys will go through the Poble Espanyol with all its original members. The Californian band led by Brian Wilson will perform a concert to mark the launch of their new album “That’s why god made the radio.”

Living History of Music, the Beach Boys, are considered as one of the best bands of all time, having published such iconic albums as “Pet Sounds”.

Never run out of tickets to The Beach Boys. Highly recommended!
